Ingredients
Ingredients:
  • 2 tbsp. chili powder
  • 2 tsp. cumin ground
  • 2 tsp. garlic powder
  • Β½ tsp. cayenne pepper
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 lb. grass-fed ground beef
  • 1 onion diced
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tbsp. lime juice
  • 2 romaine hearts shredded
  • 3 c. cherry tomatoes halved
  • 1/3 c. cilantro chopped
  • 1 avocado cubed
  • 1 tbsp. coconut oil
Instructions
Directions:
  1. In a small bowl, mix together the chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, cayenne pepper,
  2. salt and black pepper.
  3. Melt the coconut oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the onions and allow them to become translucent. After 5 minutes, add and
  5. brown the garlic.
  6. After 1 minute more, add the ground beef. Break it up and brown it thoroughly.
  7. Once browned, add in the spice mix and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes. Be sure
  8. to cover all the beef.
  9. Add in the lime juice.
  10. Lay the romaine lettuce on the serving plates and top with the meat, cherry tomatoes,
  11. avocadoes and cilantro. Serve and enjoy!

    I am committed to follow this diet, it makes sense to me and it is necessary because I am overweight and my sugar level is 160, enough is enough I can’t keep being so unhealthy. I started one week ago and I am feeling great. It is not easy because it requires to reeducate myself about the food that enters my body and my lifestyle. Now I see it more as an adventure and project to heal myself. I have been reading a lot and I want to thank Dr Jonathan Spages for all the information and motivation.     Me and my kids love taco salad. I cook the meat, season it, cook cauliflower rice and season it like I would mexican rice. Get a huge bowl of romaine, add the meat, cauliflower rice, cheese, salsa, guacamole and sour cream. Don’t forget the cilantro during the whole process!!
